Geometry

Geometry is the study of the mathematics of size and shape, patterns, and relationships.  The word geometry comes from the Greek words geo, meaning "earth," and metri, meaning "measure."

One of the most important aspects of the study of geometry is that of conjecture and proof.  A conjecture is a proposition, or a statement that seems likely true.  Proof is the process of verifying a conjecture using already-known facts.
